Equant [ENT: EQU], a Paris-based communications company, has agreed to provide satellite access services in Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe to the Foreign Ministries of France and the Netherlands.

The France Foreign Ministry announced that it plans to migrate its existing satellite network to Equant’s IP Satellite Access service. The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs selected Equant’s Dedicated Satellite Access as part of a five-year IP VPN deal announced last July. No financial terms were disclosed for either agreement.
