ABS Appoints Mark Rigolle as CEO

Satellite operator ABS “Agility Beyond Space” has appointed former O3b Networks CEO Mark Rigolle as the company’s new CEO. He will be based in the ABS office in Dubai, UAE.

ABS highlighted Rigolle’s experience in multi-orbit constellations. Rigolle joins ABS from Rivada Space Networks, where he was COO. He was previously CFO of SES and CEO of O3b Networks. He also co-founded Kacific, was the CEO of former LEO venture LeoSat and later CEO of Kleo Connect.

“ABS is uniquely positioned to demonstrate how the sector can return to growth after many years of contraction. We have the assets, the people, the capabilities, and supportive shareholders to make that happen,” Rigolle commented. 

ABS’s former CEO Amit Somani left the company in January after less than 2 years in the role, rejoining Yahsat as chief growth and strategy officer.  

ABS recently rebranded as Agility Beyond Space (ABS), moving away from its former name Asia Broadcast Services. The company operates a fleet of satellites covering the Americas, Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and CIS.
