LodgeNet Digital Satellite Network Exceeds 310,000 Rooms

LodgeNet Entertainment [Nasdaq: LNET], a provider of broadband interactive television services to the lodging industry, announced Tuesday that its digital satellite network delivers digital entertainment with DVD/CD functionality to more than 310,000 North American guest rooms.
LodgeNet’s network facilitates “point to multipoint” content distribution by uploading content to a private satellite, then downloading it site-by-site to interactive digital systems capable of storing up to 1,300 hours of on-demand entertainment. These systems feature on-screen controls enabling guests to pause, skip and/or save their place within most on-demand entertainment selections.
