Sky Connect Hires Sales Director

[Satellite Today – 1-30-08] Sky Connect named Joel Goron as channel sales director, the company announced Jan. 29. He will be responsible for expanding Sky Connect’s marine, land-mobile and indoor markets for Iridium satellite-based communication.
    “Joel’s experience with the nation’s first responders — police, fire and emergency medical personnel – will be a significant benefit in introducing them to the advantages of Sky Connect’s satellite-based communications systems,” Wiley Loughran, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Sky Connect, said in a statement. “He also will be working with our maritime markets and land-based users who rely heavily on dependable communications systems for their business success.”
    Goron last served as publisher and director of sales at Cygnus Business Media.
