8,000 Mini-VSAT Systems Shipped by KVH

Connectivity solutions provider KVH Industries recently hit a milestone, as it has shipped 8,000 mini Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) systems. The TracPhone V-series satellite communications antenna systems uses advanced satellite technology, including the latest High Throughput Satellites (HTS) to meet the growing demand for more onboard connectivity.

Kvh provides connectivity solutions for commercial maritime, leisure marine, and land mobile applications on vessels and vehicles, including its TracPhone and TracVision product lines. The company’s Videotel business is a provider of training films and computer-based training for the maritime industry.

“Global coverage, rugged antenna systems, and innovative subscription-based business” are important to the maritime industry as it moves toward digitization, according to KVH Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Martin Kits van Keyningen.
