Gilat Wins SkyEdge 2-c Order from Russia’s GeoTelecommunications

      [Via Satellite 09-01-2015] Russian satellite services provider GeoTelecommunications (GT Telecom) has purchased a SkyEdge 2-c platform from Gilat Satellite Networks. The SkyEdge 2-c platform will replace an existing VSAT network, for the delivery of high-speed Internet access to businesses and households throughout the region

      Established in 2000, GT Telecom provides services such as distribution, teleport services, satellite broadband, data transmission, digital communications, and TV content aggregation. GT Telecom services all of Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Baltic states and neighboring territories.

      “Quality matters. The Russian market has its own set of requirements and specifications that must be met,” said Nikolay Lukyantsev, CEO of GT Telecom. “Beyond its industry-leading technology, Gilat proved itself to be a very mission-oriented partner that was also flexible and responsive to our needs.”
