RigNet and CPN Offer Combined SCADA Solution for Oilfield Service Companies

[Via Satellite 04-17-2014] RigNet and CPN introduced a new packaged Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) solution for oilfield service companies. The service combines a Hughes 9502 BGAN M2M terminal with a CPN custom enclosure system for oil and gas companies to monitor Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESPs) onsite.

The packaged solution allows RigNet to bring the SCADA system directly to the oilfield safely, as the CPN enclosure is custom-created to house the Hughes 9502. The SCADA solution is designed to monitor, regulate and analyze oilfield ESP installations in order to potentially minimize downtime, decrease energy fines, reduce workovers or replacement of parts, increase the run-life of pumps and overall boost oilfield production.
