Top Up TV wants to carve out a niche in the increasingly competitive lower end of the digital pay-TV market in the U.K. by launching a brand-new pay-TV package called “Top Up TV To Go.” For $180.80, consumers get a set-top box (STB) able to receive Top Up TV, 30 Freeview channels and 10 Top Up TV channels. Also included is the Top Up TV connection fee worth $36.2) and the first month’s subscription to Top Up TV, worth $14.40.

Top Up TV, which launched earlier this year in the U.K., by offering 10 digital TV channels including Discovery, E4 and Cartoon Network, aims to put the pressure on established its rivals BSkyB, NTL and Telewest.
