BBC, Globecast Ink 5-Year Deal

BBC Technology has inked a five-year contract with Paris-based satellite services provider Globecast to provide Globecast with access to BBC Technology’s London media gateway, a fully resilient fiber ring that enables the London broadcast community to exchange content and access BBC and European Broadcasting Union feeds, as well as to access international gateways and teleports at London and Brookmans Park.
The gateway distribution service offers flat cost effective, resilient permanent circuits, so that the broadcast community can benefit from a dependable content delivery service with cost control.
