Logsdon Named Director of Space Enterprise Council

      David Logsdon has been named executive director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce‘s Space Enterprise Council. In his new position, he will be responsible for U.S. export control policy, space transportation policy, remote sensing policy, GPS policy, radio spectrum policy, and homeland security. He will formulate and help implement public policy, working as an industry liaison with Congress, the Bush administration, and various federal agencies.

      Most recently, Logsdon was manager of space operations at the Aerospace Industries Association. Pior to that, he was a technology policy analyst at Bethesda, Md.-based consulting firm Futron. He is on the board of the Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI).
