Ka You Systems Installs Uplink System for Laredo Community College

[Via Satellite 08-25-2014] Ka You Systems has installed a satellite uplink system for Laredo Community College (LCC), located in Southern Texas. The academic institution serves more than 12,000 students across two campuses, and can now transmit video, audio and data to global audiences.

Ka You has trained LCC staff on operating the uplink system, and will provide remote troubleshooting through an Internet connection. In addition to transmitting classes to other locations, the college can use the system to sell services to government agencies and private businesses.

“We now have the capability to not only receive global communication feeds but also broadcast from Laredo to the rest of the world,” said Juan Maldonado, president of LCC.
