Talia Names New SVP, Commences U.S. Operations

[Via Satellite 05-13-2014] Talia Limited announced the opening of its first office in North America, which will be based in Washington, D.C. The company also recently appointed Joel Allen as senior vice president of international business development for energy and public sectors. He will head the U.S. operations.

Prior to this position, Allen advised voice, data, video and Internet Service Provider (ISP) operations for carriers in Iraq and Afghanistan. In February 2011, he finished 12 months of technical advisory service in Kabul, Afghanistan for the Minister of Communications and Information Technology and the CEO of Afghan Telecom. In 2009, Allen played a senior advisory role in Baghdad for the Iraqi government with the Ministry of Communications and the National Investment Commission, initiating infrastructure development, rate structure development, marketing strategy and carrier and investor orientation.
