Inmarsat Hires Global Xpress Vice President to Lead GX Program

Mobile satellite services provider Inmarsat has appointed Michele Franci as its Global Xpress vice president of commercial business, the company announced Sept. 10.
   In his new position, Franci will be responsible for the execution of Inmarsat’s GX program, bringing it to its commercial launch. This includes operational practices, regulatory and market access program and leading the establishment of distribution agreements across all sectors. He also will take the lead on program management aspects of the project, including oversight of the master schedule for the space segment, ground segment, distribution development and regulatory aspects.
   Franci worked at SES from 2006 to 2012, most recently as senior vice president for planning and procurement. He also served as vice president of business development at Arianespace.
