Star One Deploys Glowlink Geolocation System

[Satellite Today – 3-24-08] Latin American satellite operator Star One has deployed a system from Glowlink Communications Technology Inc. to help monitor and eliminate satellite interference, Glowlink announced March 24.
    The Model 8000 Geolocation System allows satellite operations managers to  move from spectrum monitoring to geolocation with a mouse click and enables a gain in usable transponder capacity.
    "We have chosen Glowlink from a select group of geolocation and interference monitoring equipment vendors from around the world, based on performance, features and price," Lincoln Oliveira, director of engineering and vice president at Star One, said in a statement. "The Glowlink system has shown to be an excellent solution for satellite operators.”
