IR Releases New M3G120 Series Converters for Satellite Power Systems

[Via Satellite 07-17-2014] International Rectifier has introduced the M3G120 series of 40W radiation-hardened 120V input DC-DC converters. Based on the M3G series that has been in use since 1998, the new converters are designed for digital and analog satellite power systems with lifespans of 15 or more years.

The M3G120 series comes in single and dual output configurations. The converters include total ionization dose (TID) of more than 200 krad (Si), single event effect (SEE) (Heavy Ions) with rated Linear Energy Transfer (LET) greater than 83 MeV-cm²/mg, as well as an integrated Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) filter. Radiation and performance components used in the series have been fully de-rated to meet NASA EEE-INST-002 and MIL-STD-1547B requirements.
