[Via Satellite 04-17-2014] Boeing has improved its geospatial data management software, DataMaster, to include real-time text-tagging video streaming capabilities. The company hopes to achieve faster cataloging and data retrieval with this upgrade, along with more precise analytics for images, video, maps and topography.

“The technology enhancements found in DataMaster 5.3 are designed to create clearer links within geospatial data for swift, precise and perceptive intelligence,” said Sparky Olson, acting director of Boeing Intelligence Systems Group.

The upgrade also includes support for 32-bit Geo-referenced Tagged Image File Format (GeoTIFF) and National Imagery Transmission Format (NITF) data, as well as expanded metadata support for these two formats. It also provides capabilities for streaming and format conversion for JPEG2000 images, along with JPEG 2000 Interactive Protocol (JPIP) streaming.
