[Via Satellite 08-14-2015] Data Link Solutions (DLS), a joint venture between Rockwell Collins and BAE Systems, has received an $18.3 million award from the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command to deliver Multifunctional Information Distribution System Low Volume Terminals (MIDS-LVT) to the U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Air National Guard, as well as to several foreign governments through the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DOD) foreign military sales program.

The MIDS-LVT terminals are a key component of Link 16 data exchange networks, providing real-time situational awareness data and voice communications technology to U.S. and international militaries.  The terminals equip air, maritime, and ground U.S. and NATO-allied assets with secure, jam-resistant Link 16 communications. DLS will complete the firm, fixed-price delivery order at facilities in Wayne, N.J., and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
