[Via Satellite 08-04-2014] The United States National Security Agency (NSA) has certified the ViaSatHarris Corporation wideband Small Tactical Terminal (STT) (KOR 24A). With certification complete, the companies can deliver the terminals to U.S. and international customers.

The enhanced STT is backwards compatible with roughly 150 earlier STTs currently in operation. The two-channel KOR-24A supports narrowband Very High Frequency (VHF)/ Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS), HAVE QUICK, VULOS, High Performance Waveform (HPW), and Link 16, in addition to new software-defined wideband waveforms.

ViaSat reports close to 100 terminals have already been ordered.
