Eutelsat Wins Two New Customers on Eutelsat 70B

[Via Satellite 07-16-2014] Eutelsat has signed new customers Newslux and Altice Group’s MCS TV on the Eutelsat 70B satellite. The agreement is a gateway to the Southeast Asian market for major television channels, i24News and MCS International. Through Eutelsat 70B, the two channels are uplinked from a digital platform in Italy and broadcast to cable and ADSL operators across Southeast Asia, along with homes equipped for direct reception.

Newslux’s i24News has grown from its launch in 2013 to cover approximately one billion homes by satellite. The channel, which delivers international news and current affairs, is available free-to-air (FTA) over Eutelsat 70B in French and English. MSC International is a dedicated international sports channel with a focus on football, handball, volleyball, fighting sports, tennis and extreme sports.
