RRsat Expands Contract with ETTV

[Via Satellite 05-22-2014] RRsat has expanded its broadcast solutions for Taiwanese cable TV network Eastern Broadcasting Company’s (ETTV) subsidiary ETTV America in a new three-year contract.

Under the original contact, RRsat delivered six ETTV channels along with three affiliate channels from RRsat’s Los Angeles Point-of-Presence (POP) to Dish Network‘s media hubs in the U.S., which are sent using fiber connectivity. The contract’s second phase began in February 2014, expanding broadcast distribution by adding three additional ETTV channels. RRsat plans to distribute these channels through uplink to Intelsat’s Galaxy 23 satellite to major cable headends including Comcast, AT&T, Cablevision and others.
