ViaLite Releases Blue2 Link RF over Fiber

[Via Satellite 08-19-2016] ViaLite Communications has announced the Blue2 Link, a dual solution for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) that can be setup as 2x transmitters, 2x receivers or a transceiver, as required. The Blue2 Link’s dual factor enables a choice of single or dual OEM, similar to the company’s single or dual cards for the rack chassis. The product can also support Wave Division Multiplexing (WDM) for a single fiber input/output.

The Blue2 can be used in existing customer equipment or easily fitted in smaller spaces, such as ship radomes and below-deck control rooms where space can be restricted due to its compact design, according to ViaLite. Despite its size, the Blue2 still provides ViaLiteHD Radio Frequency (RF) performance and is available in any of the ViaLite frequency bands from 2KHz to 4.2GHz, including the new Extended L-Band HTS. The Blue2 Link is suitable for use in broadcast, maritime, GPS or regular satcom markets.
