Advantech Unveils New Satellite Tech Products for Military End Users

      [Satellite TODAY 06-01-12] Advantech Wireless has introduced its new KR Series of products for military applications, the company announced May 31.

         Designed for in-theatre use, the Advantech Wireless KR Series aim to offer state-of-the-art technology in compact form factors.
         The KR Series features include: a new mobile communications unit; a 3G/WiFi router; a Remote Eye wireless audio/video camera; the Wireless Bridge WBR-2000 unit; Eagle Eyes wireless video capability; the Location Vest unit; and the Sniper Wireless Ballistic calculator system.
         Advantech Wireless also unveiled its next-generation Raptor/Discovery TDMA/SCPC VSAT HUB and terminals for instant mobile tactical satellite communications.
         “Maintaining secure and reliable communications is vital for military applications,” Advantech Wireless Vice President of Global Sales Pierre Cardinal said in a statement.  “This line of military products is to be used in some of the harshest places on the map. Our proven track record in providing communication equipment to key defence agencies in deployments around the globe was instrumental in expanding our product line at this time.”
