[09-26-07 – Satellite Today] Links Broadcast is expanding its satellite newsgathering fleet with the deployment of a high-definition vehicle, the company announced Sept. 26.

The trucks carry a fully redundant configuration with 8PSK, DVB-S2 and HD vision/sound monitoring and switching.

“The business has gone from strength to strength, and we feel now is the right time to invest in the HD market,” Paul Airey, head of operations at Links Broadcast, said in a statement. “Over the past year we have seen a considerable increase in HD enquiries and bookings with more and more broadcasters, production houses and corporate entities making the switch to HD.”
