Hughes Introduces Auto-Deploy Satellite Solution for Police, Emergency Crews

Hughes Europe has unveiled an advanced auto-deploy mobile satellite solution, the company announced Sept. 10.
   The highly robust and secure auto-deploy solution aims to provide primary connectivity or as back-up to an existing 3G or 4G service for police and emergency responders virtually anywhere in Europe and the Middle East. Hughes said it would demonstrate the solution with its latest generation HN and HX System broadband satellite terminals integrated with Assmann Technologies auto-deploy antenna system.
   “This auto-deploy solution has met with great response and we already are in discussion with several police authorities for tailored satellite communications solutions,” Hughes Europe Managing Director Christopher Britton said in a statement. “Our latest satellite solutions fully meet the demand for ‘high nines’ availability at a highly competitive cost and provide 100 percent coverage across Europe and the Middle East, from Ireland to Afghanistan and from Scandinavia to North Africa.”
