[Satellite Today -2-5-08] Digital pay-TV provider NDS has extended its relationship with Viasat Broadcasting for the provision of VideoGuard conditional access, NDS announced Feb. 5.
The two companies also have reached a new agreement where NDS will begin supplying Viasat with its MediaHighway middleware, XTV DVR technology, and a customized electronic programming guide to secure and power Viasat’s new high-definition (HD) service.
Viasat announced in January that it had launched its HD offering on its Nordic satellite pay-TV platform, including two Viasat-branded premium HDTV channels.
