VisuAide, a Montreal-based company that provides Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation devices for the blind and visually impaired, has unveiled its newest product, Trekker 2.0. The new version is an upgrade of VisuAide’s existing devise that now operates in motor vehicles and allows users to request point-to-point itineraries. The Trekker 2.0 is a software application that works in conjunction with a pocket PC (PDA) to provide the blind with “talking” menus, maps and GPS information.
