Vizada Expands Service Offering to Iridium-based Shipping Customers

[Satellite TODAY 07-08-10] Vizada is offering the full range of its solutions package with the Iridium OpenPort service to shipping customers through a direct interconnection with the Iridium network, Vizada announced July 7.
    Vizada’s shipping customers will be able to use their Iridium OpenPort terminal with Vizada solutions to help better manage broadband communications at sea. Vizada customers also will be offered online traffic management and monitoring systems, crew welfare solutions, email compression services and solutions to increase data security.
    The interconnection between Iridium network and Vizada’s global backbone also will provide customers with access to Vizada’s Terralink Data Manager, Interconnect, Source and SkyFile brand applications.
