Satixfy reports that it demonstrated the company’s new antenna with OneWeb Technologies and the Air Force Research Lab. The demonstration was part of the U.S. military program Defense Experimentation Using Commercial Space Internet (DEUCSI), in partnership with the U.S. Army.

Satixfy’s April 4 announcement was light on details, but the company said it demonstrated its new antenna, which is designed to provide resilient, high-speed, and low-latency satellite communications.

OneWeb Technologies COO Ian Canning commented that the tests demonstrated “simultaneous connectivity over multiple diverse satellites,” and the technology will enable multi-orbit capabilities.

The DEUCSI program looks to leverage commercial internet from Low-Earth Orbit constellations for military use. OneWeb and Hughes Network Systems, and SES and All.Space (former Isotropic Systems) have reported antenna demonstrations for the program.
