Garmin Launches Third-Party Development Site

Garmin International Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd., has made some of the technology behind its satellite navigation products available to the public, hoping to spur development of new applications and data content compatible with the systems, the company announced May 29.
The Garmin Developer Web site will contain free and licensed Garmin resources and a library of application programming interfaces, toolkits and Web services for six Garmin products.
