MAN Energy Solutions Signs Deal for Spire AIS Data

Energy company MAN Energy Solutions (MAN-ES) is a new Spire Global customer, and will use Spire’s AIS and weather data for a marine monitoring tool. 

The company has an engineering portfolio that includes large-bore engines and turbomachinery. Spire announced Tuesday that MAN-ES will integrate Spire’s data into the PrimeServ Assist product, a monitoring and advisory tool for marine equipment decarbonization and optimization. MAN-ES and Spire also plan to collaborate on developing AI models for the maritime industry to analyze engine data and create more cost-efficient solutions for its customers. 

“We aim to help decarbonize key sectors of the global economy through systems that bring down emissions that have been historically hard to abate,” commented Gregory Puckett, chief digital officer of MAN Energy Solutions. “The enrichment of our product data with Spire’s AIS and weather data will unlock further optimization for our products, and further our goal to improve engine performance and decarbonization.”
