Sarantel Supplies GPS Antennas For UK Emergency System

UK-based antenna supplier Sarantel has been awarded a contract to supply its miniature GPS antenna to communications firm Savox for use in its “track-mate” GPS module. The new track-mate, developed in Finland, provides precise GPS location ability for Nokia‘s [NYSE: NOK] THR880 TETRA terminal.

The Nokia THR880 TETRA handsets, for which track-mate is designed, are used by the UK’s emergency services as part of its communications systems upgrade.
