[Via Satellite 06-25-2015] Lepton Global Solutions is currently supporting MRIGlobal field teams in West Africa, providing connectivity to teams operating diagnostic laboratories to identify positive samples of Ebola.

MRIGlobal deployed two mobile diagnostic labs last year in Sierra Leone and Guinea, which together have accelerated the diagnosis of more than 1,100 samples in an area with limited telecommunications infrastructure. Lepton has assisted by providing secure reach-back satellite communications capability to MRIGlobal field teams deploying mobile Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) laboratories since Nov. 2014.

Lepton’s VSAT solution includes a turnkey, deployable antenna system that can be carried onboard a commercial aircraft, or checked in a ruggedized hard case, along with service on Lepton’s satellite network. The company is also providing 24/7 technical support for the MRIGlobal ground teams from its Network Operations Center (NOC) in Vienna, Va.
