Army Awards Satellite Communications Hubs Contract To DataPath

[Satellite Today – 6-23-08] DataPath Inc. has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army to manufacture and install satellite communications hubs to support the U.S. military Joint Task Force in Afghanistan, DataPath announced June 23.
    The Deployable Ku-band Earth Terminals (DKET) will be deployed by U.S. Central Command to deliver high-bandwidth voice, video and data connectivity.
    With this order, the DKET network will include more than 75 hubs that provide communications for U.S. military operations around the world. The latest contract, valued at $3.7 million, was awarded under a blanket purchase agreement with the Commercial Satcom Terminal Program at the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command in Fort Monmouth, N.J.
