[Via Satellite 11-02-2015] EMC has signed a site license agreement with the Global VSAT Forum (GVF) that will provide the company’s technical personnel access to its VSAT satellite communications training material. Under the agreement, EMC will pursue the GVF Accredited Organization for Training (AO/T) status, having the company’s operations and engineering team train field engineers and Network Operations Center (NOC) technicians globally through the Satprof-developed and administered GVF learning system. Additionally, EMC plans to augment the standard GVF training curriculum with its own training content, which employees will be able to access through the GVF learning system.

EMC maintains its own GVF-qualified examiners within the company, enabling staff to complete their GVF Hands-On Skills Test (HOST). The company will continue to offer its customers hands-on training at its training centers in its Miramar, Fla. headquarters and at its Raisting, Germany teleport.
