Macom Releases New L-band Limiter

[Via Satellite 07-18-2014] Macom has released the MADL-011014 L-band power limiter, designed for use in air traffic management and radar systems. The 200 W CW limiter operates at 1 to 2 Hz bandwidth, features 200 CW power handling and up to 1000 W of peak power handling under 300 us and 10 percent duty cycle pulse conditions.

Macom’s MADL-011014 has 0.35 dB insertion loss and 19 dBm flat leakage power at +55dBm and is offered in a low Relative Gain Array (RGA), fully hermetic package with a compact 10.1mm x 6.2mm x 3.2mm outline. According to Macom, the device integrates the equivalent of 19 discrete diode and passive components into a single packaged solution, and has four times the power handling of the nearest alternatives.
