TCS Wins Another SNAP VSAT Order from U.S. Army

[Satellite TODAY 08-02-12] TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) has received another $19 million delivery order from the U.S. Army for equipment, field services support and maintenance of Secret Internet Protocol Router and Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Access Point (SNAP) Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) satellite systems, TCS announced Aug. 1.
The order is initially funded at $700,000 and will be funded up to a total of $19 million if the options are fully exercised, TCS said. The new order aims to provide the U.S. Army with equipment and support for TCS’ SNAP deployable communications products.
“The U.S. armed forces need satellite communications systems that are easily deployed, secure and reliable,” TCS Senior Vice President and General Manager Michael Bristol said in a statement. “TCS’ SNAP VSAT satellite systems equipment can meet these criteria and help our military succeed.”
