Newtech Launches Equalink

By Staff Writer | September 4, 2007

Newtec is launching its Equalink modulator feature, the company announced Sept. 3.

Equalink is designed to compensate for the effects of imperfections in the filters and amplifiers of a satellite. The technology will be implemented in Newtec’s DVB-S and DVB-S2 modulators, and improves the performance of the end-to-end satellite communications channel, the company said.

Equalink can be used in conjunction with any standard satellite receiver and will be available as an option on the Azimuth family of modulators.
