Enensys Brings DVB-T2 Solution to Market

Enensys unveiled a DVB-T2 end-to-end solution, demonstrating single frequency network (SFN) and multiple input single output (MISO) abilities.

The Enensys solution features a T2 gateway with modulators powering SFN, T2-MI stream interface over ASI and IP and MISO. The solution has completed testing and is ready to be deployed in live systems.
 

Hughes Releases SCADA IP Satellite Terminal

Hughes Network Systems unveiled its 9201-M2M universal SCADA IP terminal that operates over Inmarsat’s Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) satellite service. The terminal aims to provide reliable monitoring and control services at unattended SCADA remote sites around the world.

The ruggedized Hughes 9201-M2M is configured for self-contained SCADA operation via an Ethernet interface for oil, gas and utility industries and can be packaged for continuous monitoring and control of remote sites such as well automation, pipeline monitoring, utility SmartMeter backhaul and VSAT backup.
 

Latens Rolls Out Conditional Access System

Latens, a developer of middleware and software-based security solutions for IPTV and cable services, launched CAS 5, a software-only conditional access system (CAS) compatible with cable, DTH, DTT, IP and hybrid networks from a single headend.

The system aims to detects how set-top boxes are connected to the access system and automatically allocates the entitlements and permissions. The the main benefit is that operators will not have to invest in a new access system when expanding to other network types or from one-way to a return path. The system also supports a dual mode, which allows operators to manage video network operations and leverage multiple vendors.
 

Solaris Mobile Features Mobile Gateway for Smartphones

Solaris Mobile has unveiled the Solaris Mobile Pocket Gateway, an S-band mobile gateway device for smartphones.

The pocket-sized S-band receiver, developed in conjunction with Finland’s Elektrobit, decodes DVB-SH TV, radio and data streams and relays them over Wi-Fi via a built-in mini-Web server. This technology is compatible with Wi-Fi and a Web browser to access mobile TV and radio over Solaris Mobile’s hybrid network.
 

TCS Unveils Mobile IP Router

TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) has introduced its SwiftLink 2810 executive communications rucksack package product.

The product is an addition to TCS’ SwiftLink family of baseband kits that integrate IP routers and crypto units with Everything-Over-IP support for converged voice, video and data applications. The SwiftLink 2810 incorporates a “black” router and a “red” router to provide users access to both Niprnet and Siprnet services and communication across WAN/LAN, wireless, ISDN, ISDN 64 BGAN and government-managed secure networks.
