Dielectric Unveils Low-Power Digital Antennas, Filters
Dielectric Communications is launching a line of digital antennas and filters targeting low-power television (LPTV) broadcasters. The hardware is designed to optimize LPTV digital coverage with an input power rating of up to 2 kilowatts.
The product line aims to provide cost-effective solutions for LPTV broadcasters in advance of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) open filing window for digital LPTV stations and translators on Jan. 25. After this date, the FCC will accept applications for new digital-only LPTV stations and translators, major modifications to existing analog and digital stations, and digital companion channels.
Paradise Datacom Releases Block Converter Product Line
Paradise Datacom released a line of indoor rack-mount block converters that.are configurable to accommodate C-, X- and Ku-band RF modules. The product’s 19-inch chassis design allows RF modules to be removed and replaced from the rear panel without the need to interrupt chassis power.
The product line includes upconverters, which can translate an L-band input signal anywhere within the range of 950-2050 megahertz to a C-, X- or Ku-band output frequency depending on which module is installed, while downconverters can translate a C-, X- or Ku-band input signal to an output frequency in the same range.
