[Satellite Today 10-09-09] Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. has been chosen by Cable & Wireless Panama (C&W), Panama’s largest telecommunications operator, to provide a SkyEdge 2 network that will deliver broadband Internet to schools in remote areas, Gilat announced Oct. 8.

            C&W uses a Gilat SkyEdge network to provide telephony and Internet services to more than 450 remote Panamanian communities. Under the new contract, Gilat will provide equipment, technical support assisted network operations and training.
