[Satellite Today 10-20-08] More than 98.9 percent of respondents in urban households in Bahrain own a satellite dish, according to a report from Arab Advisors.
“Bahrain Media Survey,” released Oct. 19, also found more than 26 percent of satellite TV viewers watch some form of pay-TV via satellite. According to research, nearly 50 percent of male viewers were watching sports, one of the main drivers for pay-TV in the country.
Arab Advisors surveyed people in all the major cities in Bahrain for the report, which also covered other areas of media consumption.
