[Satellite Today – 6-16-08] Tandberg Television has extended its relationship with one of Asia’s leading DTH operators, the company said June 16. It has done a deal with Thailand’s True Visions Public Company Ltd. Corp. (True Visions) for the provision of a new direct-to-home (DTH) head-end for the True Visions satellite pay-TV service.
    The Tandberg Television solution includes the company’s MPEG-2 encoding and video processing systems as well as nCompass control and management. True Visions, formerly known as UBC, is a provider of DTH and cable TV in Thailand. True Visions uses Tandberg Television MPEG-2 SD compression systems to deliver entertainment services to one million digital satellite and cable pay-TV subscribers.
