Astra 1L Ready For Service

The Astra 1L satellite has been deployed to its final orbital position at 19.2° East to begin commercial operations, SES Astra said July 11.

The Lockheed Martin-built satellite will deliver direct-to-home broadcast services to Europe and allow SES Astra to move Astra 2C to 28.2° East to serve the U.K. and Irish markets.
