Cerona Networks Corp., a portfolio company of Republic Financial Corp.’s private equity group, has received additional funding, the company announced April 18.

A Series-B financing round is being provided to Cerona as the company completes product development and begins marketing its new DVB-S2 products.

In an unrelated announcement, the Maryland-based manufacturer of ground-based equipment for satellite communications has elected Walter Purnell to its board of directors.
