Eutelsat has confirmed that operations of its W3A satellite have been fully restored to normal mode following an anomaly that occurred Oct. 9. Full commercial service on the satellite resumed later in the day, at 5:45 p.m. Paris time.

Located at 7 degrees East, W3A was launched in March 2004 and carries telecommunications, data and broadcast services in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Eutelsat plans to conduct a full investigation in conjunction with W3A’s manufacturer, EADS Astrium, to determine the cause of the anomaly.
