Strong growth in Australia has helped Shin Satellite PLC reach 50,000 IPStar terminals distributed throughout the Asia-Pacific region, Shin announced Sept. 27.

IPStar Australia Pty Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Shin Satellite is deploying 1,000 terminals per month and expects to reach 2,000 new subscribers per month by the end of 2006. The company expects to reach 10,000 subscribers in Australia in early 2007.

This growth in Australia has brought the total number of satellite user terminals provided by Shin Satellite to more than 50,000 in the Asia-Pacific Region.
