Tandberg Television today announced that MyNetworkTV, a new primetime network with 167 affiliates representing 96 percent of American television households, has chosen it to provide both high- and standard-definition MPEG-2 encoding for the network’s Sept. 5 launch.
Tandberg reported that MyNetworkTV, the only high-definition broadcast TV network in the U.S., becomes the sixth American broadcast network using its systems for satellite distribution of network programming to affiliates.
