Mainstream Data Enhances Agreement With EPA Photo Network
Mainstream Data announced that the European Pressphoto Agency (EPA) has doubled the throughput of its satellite/Internet photo distribution network and has implemented Mainstream’s remote site monitoring technology, Medias Hierarchical Alarm System (MediasHAL). EPA is using its expanded capacity on the Mainstream-operated network to increase photo production, deliver higher-resolution photographs and ensure real-time delivery.
In addition to increasing its distribution bandwidth, EPA is now using MediasHAL, which allows EPA to view real-time content delivery status and to gather reliability and throughput statistics from all of its remote global clients.
While Mainstream will continue to manage and monitor EPA’s network, MediasHAL allows EPA constant, real-time visibility into its network status. MediasHAL also provides Web- based access to all critical monitoring parameters as well as customized, automated e-mail alerts based upon changes in its network status.
