The Canadian government selected Ramtelecom Inc. to provide a satellite service network that will secure high-speed data and voice services for remote federal government offices across Canada. Ramtelecom will create a broadband network of up to 25 sites to provide access to the government’s Intranet and information databases.

Under the initial contract, valued at 600,000 Canadian dollars ($525,000), Ramtelecom will offer 36 months of service, and the contract includes a pair of two-year extensions.

The network will be administered by Public Works and Government Services Canada.
