Boeing Co. completed of a series of tests demonstrating the interoperability of the Transformational Satellite Communications (TSAT) Next Generation Processor Router with a government reference ground terminal, Boeing announced June 20. The router is designed to provide high-speed Internet Protocol-based capabilities to the military.

Boeing is contracted with the U.S. Air Force for $514 million for the risk reduction and system definition phase of the TSAT program.

The tests were performed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology‘s Lincoln Laboratory and are the first step toward guaranteeing the delivery of “communications on the move” for TSAT military users, Boeing said.
